Review of the most popular breakfast spots in Prague
Finding a good breakfast spot in Prague is not that hard. The city has so many good breakfast and coffee places. The offer is so huge and there are so many places that are offering delicious, healthy and affordable breakfast.
But don’t you just hate when you are in a new town and you google for someplace to drink/eat and when you go there it’s not what you want. Or it’s full. Well, guess what – every single person did the same thing as you did. Google is a powerful tool but also can be annoying.
So, to avoid this to happen to you, I will dedicate my time (and money) to check all of the popular breakfast spots in Prague. I have already visited some of them and of course, I have an opinion about them. For now, there are only 6 of them, but with time I will make this list longer. I will keep you updated, that’s for sure.
So let’s dig in!
Coffee Corner Bakery
Korunní 1342/96, 101 00 Vinohrady, Praha
👍 When it comes to the interior, this coffee shop wins among all of them. The place is a huge open space filled with a bunch of different yet elegant pieces of furniture. This is a stylish but also a very cozy place to meet with your friends or family for Saturday brunch. It’s located directly on tram station Korunni and more about their menu you can find here. The staff is mostly fine: One waitress even tried to speak with me Croatian. They do accept reservations and be sure to make one if you’re coming for weekend breakfast since it’s usually packed with people.
👎 The last sentence brings me to my next point: it’s so hard to find a place here, even just for coffee. It’s always crowded. Also, food is so-so. I have tried omelet and it was ok but nothing special. But my boyfriend loved the breakfast burrito. Also, coffee, for this price, can get better.
Overall score: 3.5/5
Cafefin v Praze
Namesti Jiřího z Poděbrad 4, 120 00 Praha
👍This place is, until now, definitely my first choice when it comes to breakfast. You can find it in Prague 2, a popular expat area easy reachable with a metro or tram. And the food? Differently prepared eggs, avocado toasts, oatmeal with fresh fruits and many more. I just love how healthy and diverse their menu is. The staff is nice and friendly, although they can be a bit faster. But I will give them this because the place is usually packed with people. Important: they do not accept reservations. Overall, the top breakfast spot in Prague. More about this place you can read on their website.
👎 Bad thing is that is often crowded for breakfast so you need to be lucky to catch a place.

V Celnici 1031/4, 110 00 Nové Město, Praha
👍 I have tried this place just recently. Located near Náměstí Republiky, it is a great location for everyone that wants to stay in the city center. The breakfast menu is also diverse and healthy: if you want sweet or salty, English or French breakfast – they have it all. We loved the Superfood Budha Bowl. The staff was really friendly and helpful and, although Saturday morning, we didn’t wait for our food for a long time. Find their whole menu here.
👎 Although everything was ok, it doesn’t give me some special vibe or feeling that I should return. Perhaps the interior was not so creative or interesting. I don’t know but this is just me. Visit for yourself and judge.
Overall score: 3/5
Muj Salek Kavy
Křižíkova 386/105, 186 00 Praha 8-Karlín
👍 Muj Salek Kavy is situated near metro station Křižíkova and it’s one of the most popular breakfast spots in Prague. We have tried Summer English breakfast for 175 CZK (around 6,8 euros) – find their menu here. It’s has a very nice open space interior and the staff was friendly.
👎 Don’t you just hate when a place charges you for tap water? Well, Muj Salek Kavy charges you 10 CZK, but the whole amount goes to charity. Although this is an act of kindness from their side, their breakfast was one of the most expensive we tried. I just think that charging someone for taped water should be fully prohibited. They could make this donation by themselves from high income from food. Anyhow, I don’t mind 10 CZK. I just think that this can be arranged in some other way. The food was ok but nothing impressive.
Overall score: 3/5
Americká 152/15, 120 00 Praha 2-Vinohrady, Praha
👍 Kavarna Zanzibar is one of my favorite places when it comes to outdoor sitting. Located in the peaceful street and overviewing the nearby fountain, it is a perfect place for a late brunch on a sunny Saturday. The best thing is that they offer all-day breakfast. This was my favorite place this summer. The food and coffee were good and I’m sure you will choose something from their extensive menu (find it here).
👎 Staff is friendly but too slow: 3/4 times I was there they forgot something from my order. The inside the interior is nothing special and I think this place is a bit too expensive.
Overall score: 3/5
Moravská 1540/18, 120 00 Praha 2-Vinohrady, Praha
👍 The place is stylish and it has a minimalist design. The staff was really friendly and they spoke excellent English. But the best thing was the prefect omelet with goat cheese. This is the best omelet I have tried till now. Prices were more than ok and I would say this is one of the places where you should go for breakfast.
👎 Although the food was excellent, we waited for so long. The best thing is that there were not so many people inside. We waited for an omelet for more than 45 minutes.
Overall score: 4/5
As you can see, I choose to visit places that offer not only good food but also a great and creative interior. I’m really happy to say that Prague has so many worths visiting places. That’s why my list will not end here for sure. I’m already planning to visit some new places and add them to this list.
Prague coffee shop and breakfast scene are excellent and it’s a topic that deserves more space on this blog. And I guess I don’t have a hard task: visiting places with delicious food and excellent coffee is kind of my favorite thing to do.
